A postpartum doula in Denver Colorado

I'm Jenny Kramer, a mother of two, and a Postpartum Doula in Denver, trained by DONA International.

Before the birth of my first child, I felt well-equipped and confident in my upcoming role as a parent. I believed that my transition into motherhood would align with what I had always imagined. Although caring for my baby came naturally, I still found myself overwhelmed. From a difficult recovery to nursing challenges and sleep deprivation, everything was so much harder than I had thought it would be. Even with the loving support of family and friends, I still felt blindsided by my new reality. Sadly, at that time I had no idea that postpartum doulas existed. At this point, I made it my personal mission to help support and educate my friends and family members who became parents after me. In that way, I’ve been working as a doula ever since.

I have always loved helping those around me -- caring for friends and family when they are sick, cooking comforting and nourishing food, or simply just being there for them when they needed someone to listen. I have been helping care for babies and children since I was very young, working as a babysitter and camp counselor. As an adult, it was always a joy for me to be able to help my friends care for their babies, long before it was my profession.

I'm here to provide support that embraces the beautiful diversity within families, acknowledging their unique backgrounds, cultures and traditions. My goal is to create an inclusive space where every family feels welcomed, valued for who they are, and empowered to continue caring for their family after I have left their home.

My family recently embarked on a journey of our own, moving from New York to Colorado. When I’m not working, I enjoy taking advantage of everything our new home here in Denver has to offer. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, cooking together, going to see live music, and exploring our new city.
